Guest guest
Kudos Fay! Wonderful step for you on Your IE journey and thanks for sharing and inspiring us too. Really finding what you do and don't enjoy about food is a corner stone of reclaiming eating for YOUR body and spirit. Bravo for you. Katcha IEing since March 2007 > > Yesterday i bought powder donuts (my favorite). before i got them i thought that i would take my time eating them and enjoy them since i hadn't had any in a while but that was not the case. I got angry at my husband so what do i do i wolf them down, not the whole bag but close to it. So this morning i had one with breakfast, i looked at the donut and thought i don't need this because of eating so many yesterday and because i need to lose weight. I replaced that thought with yes i can eat the donut i can eat what i want has long as i eat when i am hungry and stop when i am satisfied. I closed my eyes and took a bite and the favor explode on my tongue,i notice the rich smooth flavor and i thought this is better than i remember. And then i rolled it around on my tongue and notice the texture and it was doughy which i decided i didn't like. With taking the time to enjoy the donut instead of eating it like i would never get another one because i was on a diet, i realize that i only wanted one, before i would have finish off the rest of the bag. I am so glad that i found intuitive eating! > > Fay >

Guest guest
Thank you Katcha and JT, Yesterday my husband got into the bag of donuts and i thought i need to go eat some donuts because there want be any more left and then i thought that when these are gone i can go buy more donuts so i left the donuts in the bag this is a huge turning point for me. I always thought i was physically addicted to sweet and carbs. now i see it is the way i think about these foods instead.
