Guest guest
You probably already know this, but there are lots of sources of gf baking mixes that are virtually indistinguishable from the usual suspects. Even Betty Crocker has gf cake mixes on regular grocery store shelves. I'm way to lazy to bake ('sides I live alone and really don't want to eat a whole cake) and there are more and more places in my region that create everything from gf cheesy breadsticks to oooey gooey desserts. Funny thing, once I got past the initial thrill, they're not as alluring... There's also a website group that lists national restaurant chains with gf specialities, etc. PF Chang has excellent, excellent gf chinese... It sounds rather vain and silly to say that, but it was frustrating and draining for me since I hate re-doing anything (let alone 3 times!). But little old bulldog me wasn't about to give in and I dearly wanted to make a positive change instead of continuing to live with a so-so OK color. Now I can paint on with confidence the other rooms that I want to have that same color in. And in the process of working a lot harder than I thought I would need to, I also figured out an easier way to accomplish the same task (wall scrubbing pre painting). > > I do credit IE with helping me to find alternatives that I hadn't been as open to before. We both know such changes are necessary, but emotionally I'm not 100% on board with that. Keeping a gentle, as I can attitude is what I envision will get me through. BEST wishes for you and a pleasant return to health for your liver too. > > ehugs, Katcha > IEing since March 2007 > >

Guest guest
Hmmm. There's a thought. Once I get this a little more under my belt, I might post something locally and see if I can drum up an IE group of some sort. Nothing formal but a breakfast every so often might be good. Fortunately (or not) I'm old enough and iconoclast enough I don't need a lot of social support for this, but an IE breakfast is an intriguing idea... Right now, I'm trying to figure out how much EXternal input is too much. I too feel the need to go solo a bit - and yet am fearful that going solo will mean going back to where I was before I got started with IE - awash in my diet rebel, diet police stuff. It's a balancing act... Sandarah > > > You probably already know this, but there are lots of sources of gf baking > ixes that are virtually indistinguishable from the usual suspects.
