Guest guest
As a new member, I just received the file "What kind of eater are you?"How about...... all of the above except #4? Ellie
Guest guest
Tackling the various non-intuitive eating habits one at a time..... that's an idea. I wrote a whole long post about how I fit each category, but decided it was a bit much to post as a newcomer, so I've filed it for now. Which one to work on first? Probably the "Unconscious Eater." That might be the easiest entry-level approach for me. I don't need to eat while reading or watching a TV show. This may be a problem this afternoon and evening, though. We're taking granddaughters to a movie and I don't know whether I can watch a movie without eating. I guess common sense says if we want to eat we go to a restaurant; we go to a movie to see a movie (and cope w/ the kids' spilled drinks, popcorn, trips to bathroom.... who has time to eat?) I'm going to try it. I'll eat before we go.After the movie we're spending the evening with said girls' parents, having dinner, which will be preceded by snacks and drinks. Task: to separate pre-dinner socializing from pre-dinner eating.Thank you for the suggestion, Katcha!Ellie To: IntuitiveEating_Support Sent: Saturday, November 19, 2011 11:11 AM Subject: Re: What kind of eater are you? Welcome Ellie :-) Being able to be aware of what drives you to eat is a very good starting point. One can't deal with what you aren't aware of ;-) So where to begin on tackling this for yourself? Most people have found that selecting one aspect/suggestion and playing around with it helps to get you off on the IE journey. Most members here are newbies like you, but there are also several 'juniors' who have been moving forward along their own IE journeys for a while too. Ask questions, rant, whine as well as post about what you are finding as you go not only helps you but also inspires and sparks thoughts for others. Looking forward to reading more from you too. Best wishes to you, Katcha IEing since March 2007
