Guest guest
Update My little shadow has a middle ear infection. Not sure to what extent that is affecting her falling and nausea, but Vet says could be large part of it. We are doing a course of IV anti biotics to clear that up, then we ll see how she is doing and make our decision from there. Getting pain meds too, so she is not suffering. I may be crazy, but I ve got to try. If this gives her more quality time to live, well. Doug > > My little friend s name is Shadow. Guest guest
Doug, Not crazy at all - the right thing. Shadow surely appreciates the way you're helping her. I hope for her sake and yours this does give her more time. Em Sent from my blueberry. > Update > > My little shadow has a middle ear infection. Guest guest
i want to add my words of sympathy doug for this sorrow in your life now.. do you know about the 'rainbow bridge'?  it is a place where my beloved doggie, now many years gone from me but not in the least forgotten.. lives and loves and waits for me in a sort of animal heaven till we are together again.. you can look it up online if you like.. yes, i believe all our beloved pets have a place for us in heaven.. as it says somewhere there are many mansions where my Higher Power prepares a place for me and all his children i believe.. just my belief, but one that comforts me and gives me hope in this life as well.  our love for our furry friends and theirs for us is just as real as any other in this life i think.. and our sorrow and grief just as strong.. i have tears in my eyes now as i think of my beloved pet, his name is one of my computer passwords and every time i think of him my heart fills with the memory of his unconditional love and caring and trust in me.  my thots go with you in this difficult time .. blessings, ann Subject: Re: My friend To: WTOAdultChildren1 Date: Tuesday, January 11, 2011, 7:15 AM  I'm so sorry for your loss, Doug. I've experienced that same thing every time I lost one of my babies. To me they are my children as I have no physical children. Of course they give unconditional love and it doesn't get better than that. Know that the love you shared will continue after the change called death and your Shadow will be with you always. I have a wall of 8X10 pictures of all my babies who passed in the hallway going up to my bedroom. It helps me to see these pictures (not that I have to have anything to keep their memory alive in my heart). It might help you to have a picture of your Shadow blown up to 8X10 and hung someplace for you to see her. When I lost my Butchie at the age of 12 1/2 years (I had him 11 1/2 yrs. in July), I went to the local animal shelter and adopted another baby girl I named Ginger who turned out to be a real love. Adopt a baby from the shelter near you and save a life. I do it for a number of reasons - to save a life, to help another being on this planet and to honor Butchie or another pet I lost so that his or her legacy of unconditional love and caring continues. Many blessings in your time of sorrow. My heart goes out to you.
