Subject: 100 Cosponsors -- 435 To Go!

Action Alert

The key to success in changing government policies and funding is through grassroots advocacy.

We are very pleased to report that over 100 Representatives and Senators have co-sponsored the Arthritis Prevention, Control, and Cure Act. Last year, 73 Representatives and Senators co-sponsored the legislation before the 108th Congress adjourned. To date 5232 emails have been sent to Congress urging Representatives and Senators to support the bill. Please help us maintain our momentum so that we can meet our goal of getting the legislation passed into law by Congress in 2005.

We are challenging advocates to continue to recruit your family, friends, and coworkers to become Arthritis Advocates on www.arthritis.org/advocacy and to send emails and visit with your Representatives and Senators when they are back home. Our next goal is to have over 200 congressional cosponsors by June 30th. Thank you for leading the effort to expand the federal investment in arthritis research and public health activities and to ensure kids with arthritis have access to the health care services they need
