I have some hamsters... that's LIKE a ferret! I mean, if I put three hamsters into a knee sock... one ferret! They're like Slinkies with legs.

Sorry to hear about your ferret. Haven't noticed a pb yet...we have 3 and one has adrenal and insulinoma so he takes prednisone for the insulinoma. He's 5 now, I'll be discussing surgery at his next visit...and my next visiit my doc should be decreasing mine. Hopefully one day both of us will be off of the prednisone! lol

They will get pot belly over long period of use. I had a ferret with insulinomia and was also on pred. He got the pot belly...Eventually the cancerous tumors in his adrenal gland and pancreas spread and was the cause of his death. I miss the little guy.

He was not a surgical canidate...
