It contains mullein leaf, licorice root, siberian ginseng root, gotu kola herb, hawthorn berries, lobelia herb, cayenne pepper and ginger root in a vegetable base capsule. After being diagnosed, and before getting to the Rheumatologist, I went to an iridologist, she loaded me up with herbals that mixed with other things (religion) lessened the pain and increased flexibility, but taking them all and then adding the methaltrexate and prednesone upset me, so I am trying to wean myself back onto them. Guest guest Posted July 24, 2011 Report Share Posted July 24, 2011 Yes, it is fine to start to take adrenal supplements now and start to boost your adrenals before you see Dr P. It is best to stop taking levothyroxine (or any other thyroid hormone replacement) for 7 days when you start to take Nutri Adrenal Extra (NAE). This is what we usually recommend people start with, but there are loads of others you can buy from Internet Pharmacies if you would rather. However, you do get 33% discount from Nutri Ltd (see our FILES section) and follow the instructions from there when you order and quote the TPA reference no. You can start back on your thyroid hormone replacement on the 8th day. You should ensure that you also take vitamin C 4/5000mgs to help with absorption. Vitamin C is one of the best supplements for your adrenals. You can also take Siberian Ginseng and Liquorice Tincture, Selenium 200mcgs daily with food. You can take one tablet with breakfast for 10 to 14 days and then add another tablet with your lunch and see how you feel. If you need an another increase, add that with your breakfast dose after another couple of weeks. You can keep increasing your dose this way until you start to feel better, but if you need up to 6 tablets daily and your symptoms are still hanging around, then you may need a course of cortisol. However, most people feel fine on 2 to 3 tablets daily. How are your levels of ferritin, V12, D3, magnesium, folate, copper and zinc? Do you have any food intolerances? Are you OK with gluten or might it be an idea if you tried gluten free and see if that helps. I have sent you the doctors list to your address privately.
