Guest guest
Carolyn, I ate candy and whatever for over a year in literally unlimited quantities. I was feeling sick; I went to bed sick, I woke up kind of sick, etc. I enjoyed the candy. But after one year of unmitigated eating, I finally weighed myself and saw the large weight gain. Can you believe that every day I ate all that junk I actually thought I might not gain weight? Yes, that is what I thought -- maybe I won't gain weight. But I sure did gain weight, and when I weighed myself, I realize the experiment on my body did not do what my head thought. I thought that even though I needed extra size clothes, even though my clothes no longer fit me, I might be losing weight. Yup, that's what I thought. I do believe in God also and I did pray about it. I prayed for self-control just before I stopped eating all that, something suddenly changed. I used to pray to lose weight, but that did not happen. So I realize I really needed to ask for self-control. And that's what happened. I'm always making changes at this point. God knows I am ready to change things and so with support, perhaps I can do so. Thanks!Carolyn
Guest guest
Hi, . Mindful eating is the key. So it takes time because we are so inculcated as a society to enjoy the junk, large portions. Ads with people stuffing their faces as if that's the way to live and enjoy life. I'm not ready to buy pesticide-free foods, but I am ready to start eating more whole foods. Today I sliced tomatoes, and they were delicious! Tai To: intuitiveeating_support Sent: Tuesday, June 21, 2011 2:21 PMSubject: RE: Support Needed! Tai;I appreciate the reminder of the process, and nott to get hung up on the shame, if I eat unhealthy foods. Thanks,
