Guest guest
Jain, really good point about thin people looking miserable perhaps. Sandy Tai, when I see 'thin' people I often see longing or unhealthiness in them! Some are 'naturally' (genetic? always been normal eaters?) devoid of any excess body tissues but most don't look comfortable in themselves and a few look sick to me. I truly wonder if they even understand the self torture they must do to 'look' what they thing others want? I never envied them to begin with, but seeing them used to trigger 'should' thinking within me. TG that over and gone! Guest guest
My thing is not whether a naturally thin person is happy or not. It is how do they think? Do they suffer when they're hungry, knowing it's not time for them to eat, or when they've eaten their daily allotment of calories? Yesterday we were in a walmart and I saw a seemingly naturally thin older woman, an employee, sit at a table with her lunch. Right next to a mother and son who were indulging in a nice big fat Subway sandwich. (Both of them were fat.) I noticed what this thin older woman was eating and she did not look like the dieting kind. She took ot a sandwich and ate it with gusto, then she also had a container of what seemed to be cole slaw, a small container. She didn't drink anything. I though that was very interesting, I was tempted to ask her if she ever was overweight, but she seemed to enjoy her meal. I did not ask her. :-) But I would have liked to have spoken to her.
