Guest guest
Yes, Me too. I have had fibro for 16 years. At first they diagnosed me with lupus, then 4 years ago RA. It seems that if not one thing is bothering me, then the other is...

The Fibro diagnosis took about a year and a half to diagnose because I was not presenting enough symptoms all at once. Fibro came first for me. Guest guest
Nina: Fibro is a form of arthritis and until it was diagnosed and treated I couldn't get rid of the extreme fatigue and the all over pain/ache, even my hair hurt. The medication for fibro has helped but when I over extend myself, I pay the consequences for several days afterwards. Esther

Guest guest
has your Rheumatologist ever talked to you about going to the chiropractor? My doctors both claim that I should not ever go to a chiropractor because with RA our ligaments are stretchier and the chiropractor, doing adjustments can cause damage.........I'd like to know what other's doctors have to say about this. Guest guest
There was no question of a break. I was going for carpal tunnel....which ended up being more complicated in the end. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Maggie http://www.4HockeyFans.com http://www.4FloridaHockey.com MSN: Maggies1429 AOL: Maggies85 Devorah Flynn wrote: A good chiropractor would order xrays if there was any question that there was a break
Guest guest
YES I agree mine wouldnt touch me till he done full body xrays then when i had such trouble with my lower back he was the one that sent me for MRI to determine the course of action to continue with and hes the one that got and gets me back to going when i get to where i cannt walk umm i gotta beleive in them !!!!!!!!!! been there done that and will be back ! later johnDevorah Flynn <dev3355@...> wrote: A good chiropractor would order xrays if there was any question that there was a breakMaggie <meshouse@...> wrote: Good point. When one of my hands were giving me troubles I saw a friend's chiro. I probably should not have done that without xrays first as my hand was damaged so much already and the chiro was pushing down on spurs, nodules, and nerves. I came home in horrible pain. None of us knew what was really wrong at that time and it caused more damage from what my hand surgeon said. I'd say if you go to a chiro, make sure that there isn't anything in the part you are getting worked on first. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Maggie http://www.4HockeyFans.com http://www.4FloridaHockey.com MSN: Maggies1429 AOL: Maggies85 Dorey wrote: has your Rheumatologist ever talked to you about going to the chiropractor? Guest guest
No , my Nurro. reccomends it as my Ruhmy. Ive never discussed it with him never thought to but since its the only thing that brings releife for my DDD mainly when my L5 S1 disk gets out of place and on the nerves ( i would not listen if he did say no ) i will get to where i cannt walk and hurt very badly in a couple of other private places and the legs and i have no other choise he can fix me in a couple of visits with a few days to return back to a more normal pain level ( gee isnt that nice how we have more normal pain levels ) i have some so called bddies i would like to share that with for xmas this year haha how pain changes the heart !!! any way it allso does help my wrist and hands too but i couldntkeep going as much after our insurance changed and it didnt cover it any more so i was a cash patient and only went when had to all though they are super and gave me a great deal and i didnt even have to have money just go and take care of it when ever they even wrote alot off one time and gave me money when my mom got real sick and allmost died great people but i would not go and feel i was taken advantage of them , but as i posted earlier a real good chiro want touch you without xrays and they know their stuff !! they can work magic ! they dont yank and jerk they work it out over time using the xrays ! or thats what gets my results ! if the wrist and hands dont adjust they get you to relax and then yet none leave it alone ! later john Devorah Flynn <dev3355@...> wrote: That's baloney! Guest guest
I have both Fibro and RA and have been going to the chiropractor for 20 years. As long as the chiropractor knows you have RA and is careful, no problems. Guest guest
My wife had a really bad RA flare in her shoulder recently. Her Rheumy sent her to a Neuro-surgeon, who sent her for 3 weeks of Physical Therapy to see if it would help. She said the therapy seemed to help a little, but she's still going back to the Neuro-surgeon to see what else he can do. Good luck, Don & Eileen snowdrift52003 wrote: > I still see a chiro, as well.
