Guest guest
Today in an attempt to reduce the stress in my life a bit, I drove to a town an hour away, through gorgeous scenery, to visit an acquaintance who recently moved to senior housing there. I took her to lunch at a place we'd both heard rave reviews about. I ordered a sandwich, thinking I would split it with my toddler, and then it turned out to have cheese melted all over it and she's lactose intolerant. So I had to order something else for her and was left with SO MUCH compared to what I've been eating. I ate a little of everything, but truthfully, nothing was that great. It wasn't bad... Anyway, I realized I wasn't truly hungry anymore and didn't think it would keep well, and besides, why take something home for later when I wasn't that thrilled with it the first go-round? I had a mild stress because of the high cost of lunch and " wasting " food, but let it go and left. I can't recall doing that at a restaurant before and I guess that's progress. Can't say it felt good, exactly... I felt kind-of cheated. Jane
