Guest guest
That is a very interesting set of statistics. I think when you go higher protein you become leaner and build muscle. You know that muscle weighs more than fat, so........... I would not worry about the number on the scale. Pay more attention to your measurements and how you feel. That is the best barometer. Thanks, ! Yes, I know muscle weighs more than fat, so with the stats I sent in, obviously, when I was on low fat, I was fatter... but low fatters refuse to see that. Someone Lyssa knows thinks low carbing is just so terrible and that all we are losing is water, but I think the stats speak for themselves. You know what else? When I was doing low fat AND drinking water, I was ALWAYS retaining water and thus would weigh more, so I BARELY drank water at all... in that case, when I was truly dehydrated? *LOL* How you be, girl? You've been quiet lately... well, so have I anyway..*L* Update update! Kari
Guest guest
Ever since I was in high school, until I turned 40, I weighed around 125 (with the exception of when I had my kids and went down to 102 while nursing)...I had a 27 inch waist most of the time and I always thought I was soooooo fat. So when I was turning 40 decided to go on my first diet.....I think all I ate was yogurt, LOL. I went down to 117, but that was the beginning of the yo-yo effect and just gaining....so to me the worst thing I ever did as far as eating was start to diet!!!! Joya When I was in Weight Watchers, I was upset BECAUSE my waist was a 28!!!!! I thought I had to lose 4" in my waist!!!! DARN! I HATE low fat diets! Now look at me! Guest guest
Hey, Kari: You know what I think? That carbs make you retain water. Something about them, I don't know what it is, but I notice that too when I eat more carbs. I'm doing just fine. Glad to hear you are too. Keep up your good spirits! Guest guest
Thanks, Joya! But I'm afraid I am not inspiring anyone at the moment. I have only lost 1 pound this past week, and 2 the week before. I am hoping that once I start more regularly in the gym, that I will lose more weight. What's new with you?
