Guest guest
Glad you're reading the book. Hopefully we can move away from arguing about food and nutrition and go back to other parts of Intuitive Eating. > > I am reading Tribole's book, " Intuitive Eating, " and came across some really helpful advice. p. 210, after discussing the pros and cons of diet mentality, it says: 'When possible, choose healthier fats.' Now of course, this comes with caveats so as not to get into the diet mentality which has stymied so many people including myself. I recommend the book to anyone, it is wonderful and really helpful in characterizing thoughts. The book also extolls the virtues of eating beans and says that " being aware of fat grams can be very helpful to your health. " (p. 210). Of course, she does warn not to get into that diet mentality. Yes, I like Ms. Tribole's book and recommend it and hopefully can continue recommending it. Not all will take everything Ms. Tribole says, some of course will leave it, as AA says: take what you want and leave the rest behind, I have come to the point that I can understand and appreciate what she is saying.
