Glad you're reading the book. Hopefully we can move away from arguing about

food and nutrition and go back to other parts of Intuitive Eating.

really helpful advice. p. 210, after discussing the pros and cons of diet

mentality, it says: 'When possible, choose healthier fats.' Now of course, this

comes with caveats so as not to get into the diet mentality which has stymied so

many people including myself. I recommend the book to anyone, it is wonderful

and really helpful in characterizing thoughts. The book also extolls the virtues

of eating beans and says that " being aware of fat grams can be very helpful to

your health. " (p. 210). Of course, she does warn not to get into that diet

mentality. Yes, I like Ms. Tribole's book and recommend it and hopefully can

continue recommending it. Not all will take everything Ms. Tribole says, some of

course will leave it, as AA says: take what you want and leave the rest behind,

I have come to the point that I can understand and appreciate what she is

saying. Tai
