  • 7 months later...

Have you taken it yourself? It gives me the most VIVID dreams that I

awake feeling like I didn't sleep well at all. My older son had

TERRIBLE behaviour on ProEFA after a few months and I know now that

some of it can be attributed to lack of quality sleep.

First off, give it first thing in the AM. NO NAPS!! Also, how much

are you giving? try just 1 cap every day or every other day (easier

than 1/2 cap a day and seems to work much the same in my house). Once

you find out what his tolerance level is, you could try upping it a

bit - but my 2 cents is not to mess with a good thing.

Do try taking it yourself and see what you think -

what time a day do you supplement your son and what dosage?

If not already supplement in the AM, and for a few days you can try

a 1/2 dosage of whatever you are using currently. See -this is an

example of a time where twice as expensive or not the ProEFA Jr. may

be worth it! Actually I haven't heard this much here. Not the

energy part -that we've heard about -but the not sleeping part. In

fact the ProEFA it's been posted has helped children sleep through

the night.

Who knows -perhaps he's just excited about what he's able to do now -

the kids do notice the difference as reported by the parents of the

children who are able to talk to tell us. Or take them yourself -

you'll notice the difference, promise! No more walking into rooms

and forgetting why you are there ever.

My son Tanner also got way more energy with the EFA supplements

which was wonderful for him, while my ADHD son Dakota was calmed

down by them and able to focus more -which was wonderful for him.

What's viewed as negative by one parent is viewed as positive for

another parent. I had one of each and neither extreme is good. I

never considered myself " lucky " that Tanner was so calm and quiet

and didn't get into trouble like most other boys his age pre EFAs as

others told me.

It's strange the way it has just the affect needed for each of my

boys. Tanner needed to have more energy because with his low tone

and motor planning issues even though both weren't severe or

anything - he was lethargic, moved slow, didn't run around much like

other kids his age and when he did he would tire quickly. I was

thrilled to have Tanner act a bit hyper at times, which is normal -

yay! At least once on EFAs the two boys were on the same level.
