Guest guest Posted October 15, 2002 Report Share Posted October 15, 2002 Has anyone else been hit with flu like symptoms 5 days after their treatment?? I was tired and achy since and then yesterday, my energy level was GONE! I felt like I had hit a wall. I tried to lay down, but my head hurt, my joints hurt (severely), my back hurt. I couldn't get comfortable in bed because everywhere I turned, it hurt. I threw up all night. Tried to drink water, threw it up, soda crackers, gone.......I woke up this morning and felt slightly better so tried to take my meds and threw up about half way through. I have just had two days of ivig and feel no side-effects at all and never have with any of them. Maybe you're allergic to something in them. I really hope you are better now, you poor thing. Nothing worse than vomiting I say! Get better soon, that's an order! Pls see what sad Sue: " ith RN " S that monitored it carefully. I had 2 bottles a day (one right after the other) and it took about 6 or 7 hrs. depending how fast or how slow the drip was. I think the first 3days it was about 20 drips a minute. I was speeded up a little the 4th day and the 5th day I am thinking it was uo to about 30 drips a minute. I tried counting the drips but it got boring so I lost count. Never the less, I had no side effects. They drew blood every day whenthe infusions were through ... I haven´t another meds and i hope never take predisone.... You will feel better and better ,day after day. Pls be patient the effects of IVIG are very slow in some cases, in my last Ivig (December 2001) only now ??!!!!!! i have more energy but in my fist Ivig (May 2001) after 1,2 wks i was much better..
