Guest guest
This has no appeal to me at all, but perhaps others will find some assistance in it? For me the 'certain limits' that you refer to are those which my body establishes and feeds back to me - if I 'listen'. I can't see how any app would know that for me? Maybe an app where food eaten (type, not amount) is noted and then body observations (in reaction) noted later? This could help connect eating with awareness - how hungry (body/emotional?) to begin, food satisfaction, body reactions - pros and cons - and how long until hunger reappears. Maybe simply journaling would do the same thing? Best wishes, Katcha IEing since March 2007 > > Hello everyone, > > I was reading ' biography when it hit me between the eyes. Guest guest
Hmm. Well, I used to use this app called "tap & track" but it is very diet-based, tracking fat, calories, weight, everything. I still occasionally use something called "menu planner" because it helps me plan out the things I'm going to cook for the week. There's one called "DrinkFit" which tracks the calories of alcoholic drinks as you consume them at the bar. Is there any wonder I no longer use that? LOL. After one drink, my desire to "track" my drink calories goes right out the window. A very easy one for food tracking is called something like "food pics": you just take pictures of your meals, basically. However, my very favorite food app. is epicurious. I use it several times a week to cook. I have slight OCD tendencies when I am anxious so I try not to rely too much on tracking and recording things. I am also afraid that too much tracking could cause diet mentality to rear its head. But maybe if there was something that recorded how you felt about your food, your hunger signals, etc. that might be helpful. Sort of like a high tech journal. I think it would take too much energy for me, but I can see how it might be helpful to some.
