Guest guest
Katcha, I have this dessert mentality and I don't feel like the meal is over/complete until I have dessert. Yesterday at the buffet I was wanting dessert, got one I didn't really care for(but ate it). After I got home I thought why didn't I have some of the fresh fruit. Next time. Sandy Eva, what popped into my mind regarding an alternative to donuts was some summer fruit pieces. One of the things I love about buffets is when they have a good selection of cut up fruit - watermelon, cantaloupe, pineapple, strawberries etc. I'd go for those over donuts any time! And its not because that is the 'healthy' choice, its because I do love fruit but its so overwhelming to buy a whole one of each just to have a bite of for a tasty mix. Some toothpicks can replace the need for plates and silverware too. And if you want the donuts - enjoy! ehugs, Katcha IEing since March 2007 > >I had > to post to you because you mentioned donuts and they are bringing some to my > Sunday school class on Sunday and I am trying t find something to bring to > class that I can eat because I feel the same way you do after I eat one > and I don't want to feel that way so hopefully I can find something to bring > that makes my body feel good. Guest guest
I know I can enjoy the doughnuts Katcha but even when I am hungry they lay in my stomach and just feel heavy it just doesn't make my body feel good that was the same fling Sandy described when she eats them so I told her that when I am hungry and feel like a donut I eat the mini dounuts because they don't feel heavy in my stomach that is why I told her I am looking for something to bring to my Sunday School class on Sunday that will make my body feel good. Guest guest
Sandy, I'm thinking that most regimens have a sweet ending to them, maybe for good reason. Soup, entree, and dessert. People may normally crave sweets, if there is any room left, after a meal. Perhaps it completes the nutrition sequence? Meantime, I'm also thinking I should incorporate this in my daily routine (i.e., having a sweet after a meal and making sure I leave room for a sweet, a small one <g>). It might make me feel as if I've completed the routine. Guest guest
I've thought about that, because often I regret having eaten so much dinnertime that I cannot eat another mouthful and have dessert. :-) TaiTo: IntuitiveEating_Support Sent: Sunday, August 14, 2011 9:42 PMSubject: Re: Re: Alternatives to donuts Tai, a couple of times I have started my meal with dessert.
