Guest guest
Hi, wifeemomnon, Welcome back! I think it's geat you're back to committing yourself to be an intuitive eater rather than all the diets that have done nothing or worse for most of us through the years. I do sense a lot of negativity toward yourself and your eating habits in your message. I think one of the goods things about IE is that it encourages us to look at our previous eating as not evil or greedy or lustful, but as something we needed to do at the time to comfort and nourish our minds. There is nothing wrong with that. But now you can find a better way to eat and deal with emotions, etc. that honors both our bodies and our minds. I don't see IE as something you go on or off of. You will still overeat once in a while, you will still eat beyond what your body needs to nourish itself. But instead of beating yourself up, you will learn about yourself and those instance will diminish. But, then, you already knew that! Good luck, Mimi Subject: Starting all overTo: IntuitiveEating_Support Date: Saturday, August 27, 2011, 12:35 PM I did this eating 10 years ago and it works fantastically. Lost all my excess weight, but then ate to feed my lust rather than the needs of my body and slowly, over the past 6 years gained the 40 pounds back. I am praying that this forum will be a good support group to help me regain the habit of eating to feed my body's needs and not the greed of my flesh/emotions, etc.
