You can find someone with similar interests online too. My husband and I met that way. People can lie in real life too, often do. I met my first husband in so called rl, and guess what, he was an abusive jerk. AliaI know some people claim to have had success with online dating. I would never do that -- well anyway I'm married, LOL, but I mean hypothetically speaking, of course. You just never know who is telling you the truth and who is not. I'd rather go to volunteer somewhere, etc. and find someone with similar interests. Tai

Raising my hand. I met my husband on Cragislist. He's exactly who he said he was.On the flipside, a coworker met a man through a friend, got pregnant, got engaged, and then found out he had wives in Canada and Australia. (Yes, WIVES.)Anyone can lie. It doesn't matter how you meet them.I know some people claim to have had success with

Well, about anyone lying -- yes and no. Anyone can lie, that's true. Glad you did well, , but again ... I guess I am a very suspicious person. Once I find a person is lying it takes a long time to trust him again. Anything is possible. I met my husband at a dance club years ago, and I made sure he knew me and I knew him before we got engaged because I did not want any surprises later on, and I did not want to give him any surprises.
