Guest guest
Interesting that this topic should come up just now. I weighed myself last on Jan 2nd, and before that was Jan 2nd of '10. And I do that just to see that yes, my body is such a finely regulated machine that over a year it remained at a nearly exact weight. But for the last couple weeks I have been *dying* to weigh myself. It's very hard to resist! The problem is that if I have lost weight (which I suspect I may have, hence the temptation), and I see that on the scale, I know from experience it will throw me into a downward spiral of wanting to lose more weight, wondering how I can 'make' it happen, etc, and then the emotional roller coaster that follows. And I don't want that! And honestly, I have probably not lost much weight, if any at all...I just noticed that some clothes aren't fitting quite the same. This is all exacerbated by the phenomenon of literally 75% of the people I know currently being on a diet, as if dieting is like paying taxes or working for a paycheck. I get so sick and tired of seeing and hearing the diet talk! ~
Guest guest
I hear you ! I swear that if I don't mentally create a suit of armor around myself when it comes to any and all things (and people) diet related, the vortex that sucking force generates can be overwhelming! Right now I'm picturing my IE journey as vacationing on a desert island - ah the peace! ehugs, Katcha IEing since March 2007 > This is all exacerbated by the phenomenon of literally 75% of the people I know currently being on a diet, as if dieting is like paying taxes or working for a paycheck.
