Guest guest
Dear Group: If any of you take Guafenesin for fibro. will you please email me as to the reasoning behind this? Why would thinning the mucous in the body help muscle pain? The pharmacist could not explain it and my doc has not returned my call yet. The dose is 600mg twice a day. Guest guest
guai is like any CFS treatment; works for some and not for others. What is great about guai is that its cheap and not much any kind of side effect profile as far as I know. Some people are helped a lot and a few are cured. My joint stiffness, dry/sore eyes, and heart palpitations were helped by 60 or 70%. I saw all my improvement in the first 4 months and then plateaud. THEN I found magnesium malate worked just as well on those 3 symptoms (took a year to replace magnesium deficits) and so I switched to that. My other fatigue related symptoms and neuro stuff were not affected by it. I wonder if may work more for the fibro type patient as opposed to the immune dysfunction patient? Definitely worth a try though if you havent tried it yet. if you feel much worse at first its working so make sure you dont give up prematurely. Like any experimental CFS treatment some people get real touchy about it; especially those who it works for.
