Guest guest
The most important and difficult thing I have learned so far is to not multitask when I eat. No computer, book or whatever. It really makes paying attention to what my body is feeling so much easier and I tend to eat less. *************** Oh yes, wow. Saturday was my first day here and right away I picked up the concept of focusing only on eating. My Saturday lunch was eaten sitting in a chair at the table. It was preceded by considerable angst: what to do if I'm not doing something while I'm eating? I could be getting something else done! Suppose it's boring? I might quit early and not eat enough and then be hungry and eat compulsively later. But I pulled it off, for that one meal anyway. My mind so wanted to be off the food that I found myself working on aligning my body so that the tree in the yard was right in the exact center of the window. It seemed I wanted to think about anything, anything except the food I was eating. So this is interesting: Why, while eating, would I so desperately want something to take my mind off what I'm eating???? Ellie
