I stopped using a plate for my favorite snacks. Before, I'd portion control it

to the point where I'd polish it off even if I stopped wanting it halfway

through since it was " allotted " so I didn't want to waste the opportunity. Now

if I want some veggies and ranch, I eat it right out of the tub. Now I eat a lot

less of it than I ever would have thought possible. I don't know if that counts

as a tip or not, but it's something that has certainly changed.

That's interesting. The diet books all claimed that studies showed people ate

less when a small portion was plated, rather than unlimited access to the large

container full. You must be pretty good at listening to your body signals.
