Guest guest
I take Prozac--40 mg in the morning and Trazedone at night. Since I found that combo I do really good. My problem was that I would take the Prozac in the morning and not want to go to sleep--I have a terrible time with insomnia anyway. I discovered that I was not getting a good nights sleep and that was causing me to feel tired and even more depressed. I also try to establish a regular sleep routine, but it is such a struggle for me! Anyway, maybe it is something you could discuss with your doctor! Vickie Has anyone who's on depressants found one that has not many side effects and doesn't make drowsy? Guest guest
Lelia... 20 mg of Prozac has worked very well for me for the past ten years. I can honestly say that I'm not aware of any side effects. Guest guest
Dawn, I take celexa too. I take it in the morning though. I take all my meds in the morning to save confusion!! I wanted Wellbutrin but my doc didn't want to give me that. I was on Paxil and switched to Celexa last month with no problems. Actually I think I feel a 'little' better with Celexa. OH, guess what???? When I was working on the couch on Sunday, I sat on the floor to pin the hem. I figured I would just hollar for when I needed to get up. I decided to try it myself and did it without using a chair or anything. I was so excited. I did it!! It made me very tired and I am sure I looked real goofy had anyone been watching but I felt like I had just walked on the moon!!! woo hoo. Guest guest
I take Celexa and there are very few side affects with it. I really like it. I think most antidepressants make one drowsy, and they usually tell you to take it right before bed. That's always when I take mine. Hey, Lynn! I was telling my Aunt about Welbutrin and she's interested in knowing how you're making out on it, as am I. We're thinking of making the switch. Has it helped with the weight issue at all? That's our main attraction to it, of course! LOL. Guest guest
Good for you!! Small accomplishments can mean so much, eh? Why didn't your Dr. want you on Wellbutrin? I asked my GP about it once too and she said she didn't see the " need " to switch me since I'm doing so well on Celexa, but I'm sure she would if I was determined. Guest guest
I read and ???'s book Intuitive Eating and really really enjoyed it. It really made a lot of sense to me. But what I don't understand is that if you are truly honoring your body, and eating when you are hungry and stopping when you're no longer hungry, and moving and eating healthy foods (because you WANT to), then aren't you giving your body EXACTLY what it needs? Why, then, would a person lose weight? Wouldn't they stay just the way they were? I'm all for intuitive eating for the PEACE I'm hoping I can attain with food, whether or not I actually lose weight, though losing weight sure would be nice. I know that I can't diet again, and so, if I'm destined to be this weight (which doesn't really seem all that likely, since I maintained a much lower weight for much of my life without any effort at all), then at least I don't have to be obsessed with food and eating and dieting, which takes up way too much of my psychic energy. But people (books) keep claiming that IE will help you lose weight, and I just don't see why. Tilley
