Guest guest
I on the other hand seem to fit this very well. I have high estrogen and very low progesterone. My blood tests always show high cortisol. I had to supplement with progesterone my first 12 weeks of pregnancy since I was having repeat miscarriages. Looking back now, it was probably my adrenals. I am glad to get my saliva testing done this week and hopefully get started on HC/cytomel when I see my doctor on the 19th. Terri >> I've been trying to research this because I have noticed slight post menopausal spotting.I've never had this before and was wondering if HC could be raising estrogen and causing this.> I did find this online> Cortisol and progesterone compete for common receptors in your cells. Therefore, cortisol impairs progesterone activity, which reduces the effectiveness of progesterone therapy or may lead to a condition called "estrogen dominance." > Anyone else experience this or have any comments?> thanks> Chantal>Hi ChantalI have had the opposite for as long as I can remember, always above average progesterone but insufficient cortisol, still that way now. I do have heavy metal poisoning and I think that is something to do with it in my case. Estrogen was always low so I supplement 0.75mg Estrogel daily as I am menopausal.Whenever I havce tried natural progesterone I have felt terrible, severe moodiness and agression, nothing like the real me. For that reason I don't supplement it even though I have never had a hysterectomy.Pam
