Guest guest
hello everyone. i have been diagnosed with hashimotos for 10 years. i did not do well on thyroxine alone, as i didn't convert to t3 well. i have been on armour thyroid and thyroxine for 7 years but never felt fully well. where in the uk can i have a RT3 test? do any of you guys take t3 alone and if so how do you fare. when i was diagnosed i had a tsh of 347, after 6 months on thyroxine i looked better but from then on if i became stressed i would feel poisoned, my response to stress seams extreme, in many ways i felt better before thyroid hormone replacement. look forward to hearing from you. jonny

Hello and welcome, I'm in the UK as well. I've not had an RT3 test but went by symptoms and did well that way. Have you looked at the lab resources on Sheila's site or asked Dr P?? >do any of you guys take t3 alone and if so how do you fare. Yep, been on T3 only since May with one attempt at returning to Natural. I'm privately importing the Grossman Cynomel T3 from Mexico and doing much better on that than I was on the old Armour. > >when i was diagnosed i had a tsh of 347, after 6 months on thyroxine i looked better but from then on if i became stressed i would feel poisoned, my response to stress seams extreme, in many ways i felt better before thyroid hormone replacement. >look forward to hearing from you. > Sounds like you have developed adrenal issues and they may have triggered RT3. Have you looked through www.thyroid-rt3.com There is a lot of information there to get people started. Have you had either cortisol saliva tests or done the temperature graphing??? Feel free to ask questions. Nick Windows Live: Make it easier for your friends to see what you’re up to on Facebook.
