Karran,

This email is in response to your recent email, which highlights the

shortcomings of your present rheumatologist. I had a similar problem with

my rheumatologist, who never even returned my many phone calls after I sent

her material about the AP. I solved the problem by finding a new local

doctor who does offer the AP, and I obtained my first prescription for

Minocin only yesterday. I can't tell you how excited I am! My hope is to be

able to combine the services of both doctors in the future by providing

complete disclosure to both. Only the rheumatologist is part of my HMO, and

any medicine prescribed by her will be covered by insurance. The Minocin

will not be covered, but luckily the generic minocycline by ESI Lederle is

relatively inexpensive, only 76 cents per 100 mg capsule at Wal Mart.

For a list of doctors offering the AP, please email " Adlard "

<cadlard@...>

Sincerely, Harald
