Guest guest
Whoops, I meant 20 pages per story, not for the whole book, LOL! I'm thinking it will be of some size when all is said and done, because there are so many creative people on here (as we all keep saying!) I would definitely prefer commercial publishing, just because it looks so much more professional that way usually. Sorry for the confusion, I was trying to type on my droid. Guest guest
Hi all, sorry I haven't responded in a while. I was up way too late. My sleep schedule's all wacky since surgery. Anyway, I wouldn't mind if part of the proceeds went in some way to help this group. I think we need to figure out what we would want to do, etc. I would still like very much to see at least part of the proceeds go to some kind of non-profit to help raise awareness or help people in some way. I'm sure not inflexible though, and it is something that I honestly don't mind keeping open for discussion or even having folks vote on. I will see if I can do some research and what I can come up with as far as non-profits. Holly - 20 pages max per person sounds good to me. I also agree with the anonymity... a very small few people would have to know the real information for the contributing person however any pseudonyms should be able to be used for the book. Again, not my area of expertise, but I don't see why not. It's something I feel very strongly about. I would very much like to see any artwork done in color if possible. For one series of images I wanted to submit, color is very important due to strange hues, etc. Hard to explain. I'm not sure how that would effect things, so again, I'm flexible. Sorry I'm not quite awake yet, but so glad to see people asking questions & throwing out ideas & wanting to participate =) That rocks! Guest guest
I would absolutely love color for art, too, but I don't know how that would work out...but it would be awesome if we had color plates included. What if we did allow color art submissions and put that in the book for now, and if the publisher says, " sorry, can't do that " we can just take it out and put it on the book's website or something? Also, we probably need a thread to discuss options of what to do with the profits from the book What percentage, if any, should we use for the group ourselves, and what charity should we donate the remaining percentage to, in order to help raise awareness about BPD and child abuse. And isn't it strange how surgery makes your sleep all wonky? I've had several surgeries, and it even makes my appetite all strange, too. Other than that, I hope your recovery is keeping on going well Holly > > > Hi all, sorry I haven't responded in a while. I was up way too late.
