Guest guest
Hi Daeley! Welcome aboard! You'll definitely find lots of story sharing here! The school situation sounds similar to what my 9 yr old is doing. He has been spending more time in the resource room lately as it is less stressful for him. He also receives speech (finally), OT and social skills work. He has a 1:1 also. Hope you're up to a lot of reading! ;-) Sue in MI Mom to: 12 1/2, HFA 9, AS/ADD IM smgaska1

Guest guest
Hi Daeley! How do you pronounce your name? I'm Sara, wife to Matt, and SAHM to and Gabe. I'm also pregnant, due late May. is 3 & was dx'd a year ago September - on his 2nd birthday, actually. I was pretty darn sure for a few months before that that he was autistic and the dx came mostly as a releif to me. also has pica, self-injurious behaviors, hyperlexia, and would probably get an ADHD label if we had him re-eval'd. One of his IEP goals is to stay in the same place for 3 whole minutes, LOL. He is in pre-school, which has been pretty great since we actually started but was a HUGE pitb to get into, and gets private speech & OT. Gabe is almost 20 months old & was recently dx'd with a speech delay, and in the last month has begun having seizures. So that is a whole new road for us to travel. Not sure what to say about myself either. I'm a mom, and I'm a wife, and I'm on email a whole lot. That's about it, lol. -Sara.

Guest guest
Welcome to the group. Sorry you had reason to search us out. Your Dana sounds similar to many here. My Noah is now 9 and was dx with UC which is now indeterminate IBD leaning toward Crohn disease. He had liver enzymes that were all over that necessitated a liver biopsy and ERCP which found the PSC and cirrhosis. Lots of questions can be answered at the great literature center that keeps up and running at www.psc-literature.org and the people here are generally a great source of first hand knowledge too. I have family down in Richmond. I love it down there and wish I lived down that way if only for the family support. All the best, Mom of Zoe (13) My very normal (teenager normal) soccer player; Noah (9) Indeterminate colitis, PSC, Osteopenia (1-4 lumbar vertebrae), Enthesopathy; Aidan (5) Moderately-severe SNHL bilaterally Recycle Yourself Become an Organ Donor

Guest guest
Hi Tammy, welcome to the group. I am so sorry that you and Dana are facing PSC and I hope Dana is feeling well. You are not alone! Acceptance of a life changing illness comes gradually, in stages. You are doing the right thing to reach out to others and learn from all the fine medical research done by so many here. They have helped me so much over the past few months! Stay informed, keep strong for Dana and lean on each other whenever possible. Take care, Chris mother of Joe (32), UC 1987, J-pouch 1999, PSC, acute pancreatitis 3/06 New to Group > Hello All, I've been reading all the posts for the last couple of > days, and I think I've found my support system for PSC. ... Guest guest
Well, I'm just posting my first message. I've only been a member and read the postings for a couple of days. I'm fairly certain my mother has BPD. Obviously, the holidays are challenging for many of us - a common thread right now! Even though I've known for a while she has BPD, I just didn't deal with it for several years. Mostly, I've been afraid of the consequences of setting boundaries with her. I know that for my own health, I need to let go of the illusion that I can ever make her happy, please her, or earn her love through my good behavior. It's really encouraging to see everyone's postings, because it reinforces my belief that she is the one who is mentally ill and has a warped view of reality, not me! Happy Holidays to everyone, and thanks for your generosity in sharing with everyone else.
