Guest guest
Our son has been dumping a ton of yellow pieces over the last 2 weeks. His stools are usually mushy so it harder to see, but there are always yellow peices in it! I was afraid it was pieces of a tape worm?!?!I have increased his probiotics and decreased all sugars to limit him only to 2 serving of fruit a day. Seeing our doctor next week to address it.I'll keep you posted. Thanks MargaretMargaret M. Guest guest
Also, @ -He has also had sandy poops as well, never saw them green, but could that be a result of the charcoal as well?Margaret M. Guest guest
@ - Thanks for the comment. I think you are right. Crazy isn't it!! Margaret M. Neville Sent from my iPhone @Margaret: I think that is an Oxalate issue. Our DAN wanted us to go low OX and I just implemented at the beginning of the week (he was having normal consistency stools) and now it appears as if it's an oxalate dump. Our son was drinking 2 of the highest OX things as his main 2 drinks: Almond Milk and Cranberry Juice So we removed those and now I see sandiness....so I think it's a good thing b/c we're getting the crystals out..... > >> > > >> > > Okay we started Low Ox on Tuesday and today we have sandy poops!!! > >> > > > >> > > He's also been on charcoal for a week to help with die off and it definitely > >> > > turns his poops DARK, but the last couple diapers (the sandy ones)have been > >> > > 2-tone: kinda dark reddish (not blood) and then a very pea green? Guest guest
,Where are you seeing cranberry juice as high oxalate? I see it as low on the Trying_low_oxalates spreadsheet Karla did up. @Margaret: I think that is an Oxalate issue. Guest guest
I see sand crystals occasionally in my daughters stool, yet she doesn't eat anything on the high oxalate food list????
