what are the hyper symptomss? It seems all your issues sound hypo. So you've

been on cytomel only 30 mgs for 12 days and just yesterday went up to 37.5? If

that's the case, you're probably very hypo. You're barely covering the t3 that

was in Armour and have no t4 to convert into t3 either. Are your temps and pulse

so high that you don't want to increase? Generally peopole increase by 6.25 to

12/5 every 3-5 days.

ago. I started with 25 mg, since I was taking 3 grains of Armour before. I am

also on 30 mg cortisol.

trend. However I get other symptoms... both my wrists have started to hurt

tremendously (I can barely use my hands to hold myself). I have had this symptom

before, on and off before starting with thyroid treatment (a year and a half

ago). When adjusting the dose of Armour it was one of the " telling symptoms " for

me, this and the back pain, which would go away every rise, to return when it

was time for another rise.

37.5. However now I tend to get nauseous. I felt nauseous with Armour before

taking cortisol so I though it indicated my addrenals couldn't cope. But I have

to say that I sometimes got nauseous before I even suspected I had thyroid

issues. Since my teens, mostly on spring, I would get anxious and nauseous and

felt terrible for a while. I still don't understand why.

hypo and hyper symptoms together and pulse and temperatures are not really

helping me to discern what is going on.

Have you been charting your temps to try to determine whether it's your adrenals

or not?

I think it's helpful to do basal temps, too. Often, I've had good basals, but

the daytime temps were terrible or would go lower instead of higher -- which was

due to not enough adrenal support.

If you have a blood pressure cuff, that can also help you to determine whether

you are having adrenal issues or not.

It could be that you simly need to raise your t3 dose, but you need to keep

track of a few things to help you decide.

I agree it can be VERY confusing especially just going by how you feel as the

symptoms are often similar. Many times I thought it was my adrenals and in fact

I just needed more t3.

Yes, I am charting my average temps and also basal, although these last days

with Christmas " activities " I haven't been so consistent. However as far as I

can see there is no much change between my temps when I was on Armour and those

now after starting T3 only. You see, I think I am weird because although I have

many hypothyroid symptoms (some of which went away with Armour) I have never had

low temperatures or low pulse, rather the opposite. I don't understand why is

this.

I will start charting temps more carefully now that I am back to my usual

routine, but so far I have got the impression that for me, other hypothyroid

symptoms, like pain and lack of strength in the wrists are more sensitive to

thyroid levels than temperatures.

But then I wonder why I get nauseous, could nausea be related to thyroid or is

only a low cortisol symptom...?

thanks,
