Guest guest
Hi My ratio was 15,7. I am now at 15 mcg T3. I react to medicin a lot so I dont take more. DO I have to take more? Can I clear out RT3 anyway? When do I retest? I have been on this dose a month. Livene

Generally as you increase the T3 this lowers TSH and that leads to a reduction in T4 production. Unless you are getting symptoms of too much T3 (high pulse and high temperature at the same time) it's worth increasing the T3 a little at a time to see what will happen. What were your original FT3 and RT3 numbers with ranges?? Are you getting any hypo symptoms on this dose? If you had that ratio with a very low FT3 rather than a high RT3 then that dose may be enough to leave you " non-hypo " and improve the ratio by increasing FT3. If your FT3 was reasonably high and RT3 was very high then you may well need to increase it to lower T4 further and stop RT3 being made.
