Guest guest
I'll bite. Love this topic: Nada should be bitch slapped when she refuses to share in my happiness over my accomplishments but expects constant adoration and praise from me. Nada should be bitch slapped when she praises golden bada's re-gifted christmas gift to her of bath salts, and diminishes my gift to her of a diamond and gold necklace (stylized/artistic pendant of the letters: 'MOM'). What the hell was I thinking??? Nada should be bitch slapped when she makes passive agressive comments about my weight such as: " I am not going to say ANYTHING about your weight " (I weigh 130 lbs and am 5'4, athletic runner) Nada should be bitch slapped when she goes waif. Nuff said. Nada should be bitch slapped when she tries to convince my friends that I neglect and alienate her. (The pot calls the kettle black) Nada should be bitch slapped when she denies her own hateful words and violent/abuse rage fits. Nada should be bitch slapped when she pretends to forget my boyfriend's name, repeatedly. Nada should be bitch slapped for wearing tartan constantly, decorating her house in all tartan, and assuming everybody else in the universe appreciates tartan and wants to receive ill fitting tartan clothes and tartan decorated items as gifts. Ever see " So I Married an Axe Murderer? " Yes I am not joking, the parent's house is an identical replica of nada's house. Ahhhhhhhhhh I feel better now. Doug, your turn........ > > Damned computer. Clicked too soon. > > So, my topic is Bitch Slap. Can we say it? Just admit it? > > We all think Nada s should be bitch slapped when they: > > > Oh I bet you are all going to have fun with this. > > Go for it >
Guest guest
lol, yes. Bitch slap... sounds good to me. I don't swear much on my email groups, but I do swear in real life. Not to an extreme or anything. I guess I try to avoid it here to keep from offending people. But with my friends & fiance, I know them well enough (and they know me well enough) to know I'm not trying to be offensive. But sure... I wouldn't mind bitch slapping a few nadas hehe. \ Mia

Guest guest
My list is too long. My list is too painful. My list is just, too EVERYTHING! But ---- I'll BITCH SLAP NADA for this ---- HOW FREAKIN' D.A.R.E. YOU MAKE MY LIFE ABOUT Y.O.U.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lynnette > > Damned computer. Guest guest
A few more... I'd like to have bitchslapped nada for... -not letting me join sports or any other school activities until 9th grade. (high school started in 8th grade where I lived so yes, all my friends were in sports, going to dances, etc. Not me.) -not letting me go to college in the fall of '96 like all of my friends were. We graduated in spring of '95. -not letting me major in music like I wanted to. " You'll never find a job " , she said. " But I can move anywhere & work as a music teacher " ... " no, you're not doing it. Don't be stupid " . -not letting me major in biology (my 2nd choice) like I wanted to. I wanted to be an epidemiologist... she scoffed & said, " You're too stupid for that " -when I finally was allowed to go to college, I wasn't allowed to take out any loans, not even federal student loans. I had to pay for it out of pocket, in cash. -when I finally did go to college, even though I was paying in cash I still had to fill out the FAFSA... she refused for the longest time to fill in the part required for her to fill out. Why? because " my financial standing won't help you any " . Didn't matter that I was still considered a Dependant student & that it was the LAW for her to provide it. That had to be pointed out by one of the financial aid counselors at my first college before she would take it seriously. -for not believing me about having endometriosis and the horrible pain I had to deal with from the age of 13 onward. -for throwing a g-- damned fit when I was having surgery #2 which finally diagnosed the endo... " You're just doing this for attention! You're lying! " -for then becoming the waif after I was diagnosed with endo... " Oh,my poor baby " . Oh bite me, nada. I didn't buy it. Maybe the doctor who broke HIPAA by telling you when I specifically told him NOT to bought it, but I sure didn't. -for never once telling me she was proud of me. Not once. And I'd like to bitchslap her right now because I'm in tears. I hate you so much, nada. I mean it. Mia
Guest guest
Mia, I am cheering you on like I'm watching my team win the Super Bowl right now. I'm in my office at work, but in my head, I'm giving you the loudest, most whole-hearted standing ovation possible. Right on! > > And I'd like to bitchslap her right now because I'm in tears. Guest guest
I think that must be a common behavior for nadas: to put their children in no-win situations. Such as, nada complains loudly and tearfully to anyone who will listen that her adult child does not phone her often enough, then makes it impossible for her adult child to phone her. Or like my nada, who would poke, and prod, and pick at me (and Sister) with relentless criticism until we'd defend ourselves, and then nada could cry " victim " because we were " attacking her. " Or like when nada would give us a nice present of some kind at Christmas, and then complain to anyone who would listen that we only wanted to talk with her or visit her when she gave us presents. (Never mind that Sister was going over to see nada and take her shopping and stuff three times a week. That didn't count, apparently.) Needless to say, neither Sister nor I accept any gifts of any kind from our nada any longer. They *like* mind-f**king us; they enjoy it. They really do. And Happy Birthday, by the way! Note: no strings attached. -Annie > > I'll slap the bitch! > > She's in queen mode and yesterday was my birthday--so she left me a 'happy birthday' message filled with complaining about how hard it is to get a hold of me. A call back is expected. But then she ties up her phone for hours or leaves the house but turns off the answering machine--so her 'subjects' have to work harder to prove their devotion! > > After 4 hours of periodic redials, I left her a big fat Facebook message 'thanking' her for her birthday greeting but that I am abandoning the effort of contacting her via phone (oh no, what will the rest of the family think?!?) > > Yeah, yeah, I know: I should have given up dialing her a lot sooner or not at all. I just wanted the chore off my back. >

Guest guest
Awesome! I am busting a gut over this thread and I want to bitch slap and sucker punch your nadas/fadas along with my own as I read these. I am afraid to open this door because I know there's a flood waiting to send out a can of woop ass ... but what the hell. I would like to Tonya Harding style bitch slap my nada for crippling my skating career when I needed her to encourage me to spread my wings. *whack* patinage

Guest guest
Oh, yours did that too patinage? Mine also had me in figure skating. I did it for several years, but she would never let me participate in the ice show. Well, as you probably know, what do the classes work on all season long? Practicing for the ice show. So they would just have me do other random stuff while the rest of my class practiced. So nada got upset & pulled me out because she said they weren't teaching me. What did she expect them to do? They were teaching the other 10ish students for the ice show! I was the odd ball out. Duh! Let's see what else nada pulled me out of... -Piano lessons. She started to teach me at 3 years old, I continued to teach myself when I got older. She signed me up for piano lessons then we just stopped going. Not because I wanted to stop, but because she said we didn't have the money. I was maybe 12 at the time. -dance classes. I did manage one whole season & danced in a recital, but she never did sign me up again for them and I had enjoyed them. I was maybe 6. -Girlscouts (Brownies). Twice. First time she & grandnada signed me up because I had wanted to join. She pulled me out claiming that my dad didn't hold up his end of the bargain & take me on his weekends. So I moaned & groaned to my dad & he signed me up. Then the girlscouts ended up kicking me out because I wasn't consistently showing up... because nada wouldn't take me on her weekends. -art lessons. Same B.S. My dad & step mom signed me up. She couldn't be bothered to take me on her weekends so eventually I was way behind my weekend class & had to drop out. Probably 10 or 11 years old. Mind you, all of these things I wanted to do and she yanked me out of! It was not at all a case of a kid wanting to do something & then getting bored with it. I had enjoyed all of these activities and then they were mysteriously stopped/taken away/whatever. And to think she forbade me from joining any sports or activities in 8th grade (high school was 8 - 12 for me). I don't see why... I didn't drop out of my activities, she yanked me out! And we lived about 3 blocks from the high school so it wasn't like she actually had to drive me anywhere. Oh, and also... in band in high school she would not let me walk to the school myself for a concert, she insisted I wait... and she would putz, and yell at her hair for not behaving & everything else & we would be LATE. This from the woman who hated tardiness. Yet it was sure as hell ok for her to make me late for my function. You think I DARED make her late for any of hers? Grrrr. So I will join you in Harding style bitchslapping my nada, as well as slamming her fingers in the piano, tap dancing on her head, roasting her over a girlscout campfire & poke her with some sharp art supplies!! Ok, that last bit was so ridiculous that it actually made me laugh. I needed that. Mia
