I'm most likely going to be sleeping. It's funny, our city has outlawed public sales of fireworks for the 4th of July. But, they are permitting fireworks sales for New Year's Eve. I don't remember my parents doing anything special for New Year's Eve. So, the tradition continues.My sister still hasn't called me to say Happy Birthday. My plans...

I've already put on the pork roast.. to which I'll add sauerkraut, then

kielbasa, then the hot dogs.. later this evening.

I've loaded the dishwasher for it's first run today.. and if the kitchen

isn't clean by midnight I'm gonna be one unhappy camper.. cause we don't

need the added superstition of " how it is at midnight, it will be the

rest of the year " to our messy kitchen.. it's usually that way anyway..

I'd like to see counter tops this coming year.. ROFL... (chair comes in

handy for this stuff)...

I've invited my youngest son to come over and spend the evening with

us.. Even offered to buy him his beer or whatever he wants to drink..

with the provision.. the second he has a drink, he turns over his truck

keys for the night.. I'll party with him till I make myself sick, if

need be... And we'll arrange the 3 computers here so that we can all

play Runescape if he wants..

I know offering to buy him the booze is awful.. BUT.. I'd rather have

him here, safe & warm than out with friends and drinking and driving..

I'll do anything it takes.. Especially with the 3 inches of solid rain

dumped on the roads this morning!.. and more coming...

And then we'll eat the traditional.. pork & sauerkraut .. the other

goodies are an added bonus..

But I'd be willing to bet that I'll be sleeping before 1.. LOL

My husband and I

are going to a party with friends. They set up a casino in their house every

year with poker, a craps table and various other games. Everyone brings food to

share so I am making a yummy chicken enchilada dip. Last night I had a dinner

party for 8 so I am exhausted today. I am going to make the dip then take a few

naps before tonight……

I will need to

stay awake to wait up for my teenager and young adult who will both be out. I

think I am ready to go back to work and get some rest……………

Hi Sharon and everyone else.In about 1 hour it will be New Year in South Africa. Don't you just love the idea that I beat you with New Year. LOLI hope you all have a wonderful New Year. And believe me, I thought I'd be in bed by now, but I guess I will have to check up on all of you for a little while. You do need parental guidance, right??? LOLTake care and enjoy the New Year. It's warm in Mossel Bay, so I'm feeling a little run down. My hair is wet, won't even dry anymore. So I look like a wet chicken. The heat is a little too much for MS. So I will have to try and take it a little easier for a few days. And hopefully we'll get some rain, very soon.Try to stay out of trouble and enjoy yourself.
