Guest guest
Something I read last night (from Eat What You Love...) really struck a bell with me. It said, " if you love eating, then act like it. " . And acting like it is sitting down with it, and really taking the time to savor it. Not shoving it your mouth as you're running around getting ready to leave in the morning, not spoiling my eating it when you're all tense and stressed, not distracting yourself with a book or the computer, etc. what a thought! As much as I would like to not be thinking about food at all, these little bits of reading that I'm doing, mostly at night before I go to bed, are being very helpful. Things strike me differently at different times, and this one really resonates with me. It helped me this morning as I was eating a couple of the cookies I'd made over the weekend, and I put everything else aside so that I could really enjoy them, and about halfway through the second cookie, I was wanting to fire up the computer and do something else while I was eating it, and that wouldn't have been acting like I loved the cookie. So I put it away (who puts away a half of a cookie) to eat later when I could honor it properly, and do the thing I was wanting to do on the computer....
