Guest guest
Liz, If you have access to a far infrared sauna, I urge you to try this two or three times a week for at least 3 to 4 weeks. It was a great source of help for my whole body, and sciatica is specifically mentioned. My husband and I both went, and would you believe it was he who decided we had to have one. It's a one-person (but actually big enough for two) and it fits neatly into our oversized garage. I did lots of research on it before we went the month to the sauna place. The medical benefits are many and cover a wide range of maladies. The hyperthermia plus the beneficial far infrared rays (the most beneficial of them) rid the body of toxins in the tissues (by sweating), along with the fat that covers them. At the risk of sounding like a salesman -- my total cholesterol has been about 275 for years and years, but my HDL was so high, I didn't worry about it. I was amazed a few weeks ago when it came back about 240. Nothing else had changed. I've always been on a good, restrictive diet. I can't KNOW what did it, but again, the FIR sauna is the only thing different. I hadn't even given a thought to its helping this. It will be interesting to see what it is when it is redone next year. bg > Thanks for the tip on the book, Lynne!
