We made coconut " milk " nearly every day for 2 years but we recently found our DS was having a severe igg reaction to it so we switched to Rice Dream 2 months ago. Guest guest
Sure. Ez-breezy...soak your macadamias in water for 2 -4 hours so they get soft. (the softer and more bloated they become, the easier they will be to blend) Throw them in your blender with water (1 part macadamia to 3-4 parts water). Blend until you've gotten it as smooth as you can. Strain your milk through cheesecloth into a jar and voila! You've got milk! It can last in the frij for 3 or 4 days. You could throw in a little stevia and vanilla if your son in used to vanilla flavored subs. hth, tammy To: mb12 valtrex Sent: Wed, March 2, 2011 10:08:31 PMSubject: Re: Horrible yeast flare Tammy can you please let me know how you make it. Guest guest
If you live close to a Whole Foods, they have almond milk that has almost no carbs in it. Of course, it's high in phenol so if your son is sensitive to that (as most of our kids are), it's not helpful...As far as natural anti-fungals, GSE worked very well for us although again, it's concentrated grapefruit seed extract so very high in phenol.Gen It contains arsenic, too. As far as natural anti-fungals, GSE worked very well for us although again, it's concentrated grapefruit seed extract so very high in phenol.Gen It contains arsenic, too. Someone here had mentioned it before. And it's also mentioned in taca's Families with Autism Journey Guide. Arsenic in Perdue chicken, too....even their " natural " chkn. What a bummer. -tammy To: mb12 valtrex Sent: Tue, March 1, 2011 8:38:25 AMSubject: RE: Horrible yeast flare Just FYI - Rice Dream has gluten in it. It's a 'trace amount' (per the company), but my understanding is that even trace amounts can cause issues. - Kirk- To: mb12 valtrex From: sorayastevens@...Date: Mon, 28 Feb 2011 22:41:38 -0500 Subject: Horrible yeast flare Hey guys, I have always struggled to get my son's yeast under control, but since we put him on rice milk and b12 shots again in December hisyeast is soooo much worse. Constant stims, maniacal laughter, practically climbing the walls, rigidity and aggression/tantrums.We're trying another round of diflucan (we've tried a few roundsbefore but we really didn't see anything, I think b/c he wasn'tgetting full doses. It's so hard to give him things by mouth and he spit out a lot of it) but I would like to try other thingsconcurrently. What natural antifungals can I give in addition to diflucan? G,I've started my son on candex b/c of what you've said about it, and I bought Syntol but I haven't started it yet. I have gse here but Idon't want to overtax his liver w/ the diflucan and gse together. Doyou think diflucan, candex and Syntol together might be enough or toomuch? Thanks very much! -- " Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.
