That study is actually saying to take ascorbic acid with your meals so we can absorb the iron from them. It does not recommend to take iron supps.

You take eight a day. Four tablets in two lots.

Maybe i should try another brand? but i've noticed my magnesium is low as well, and platelets, and can't remember what else.

Also, I am not vegetarian. I eat meat at least three times a week.

I was not implying that you were vegetarian. This study proves that if vegetarians can get there ferritin up just my adding vitc to there meals then surely it would benefit meat eaters even more.
