Marina,

Oxalate can cause pain in the eyes, especially behind the eyes. We also learned

that it could cause the release of floaters. One child would roll back his eyes

in his head. They had wondered if it was seizures, but somebody figured out that

it was floaters he was watching. The pain in the eyes is much more common

during " dumping " . We've seen that in all sorts of conditions, not just autism.

If it is oxalate, then taking arginine and antioxidants might help. ALA or NAC

could be a good bet, and/or vitamin E, which has a great track record as an

antioxidant that helps protect against the oxidative stress, depletion of

glutathione, and lipid peroxidation caused by exposures to oxalate.
