Cristmas is the perfect time to absorbe what manyoverlook or ignore all year; For our Christian brothers and sisters, it is a timeto rejoice in the birth of the Lord and a time tobring together family exchanging stories and hugs. For the non-Christians, with no exception, it stillshould be a time of bonding, giving, and reaching outto others. To start this very sacred and universalpractice of giving and love at Christmas would be awonderful start to bringing this attitude andmotivation into each and every single day we aregiven. This season, we all have the ability to take the timeto say hello to the neighbor we never really know, patch wounds caused in the past to others, to givewith no expectations of reward, or just as strong, tosit quietly and pray that everyone (no one left out)will

know compassion, good health, no hunger, so manythings, and whom knows... if it is sincere, it justmay happen. (smiles).'Tis the season to love one another and train in thepractice of standing next to another and hearing theirheart instead of looking at their many many labelsthey claim or those we place upon them. For as hard aswe try to think we are different, with pure mind andwisdom, it is so easy to see the splended unity we allshare. On love..."Let no debt remain outstanding except for the debt tolove one another, for he who loves his fellowman hasfulfilled the law. The Commandments, do not commitadultry, do not murder, do not steal, do not covet, and whatever other Commandments there may be, aresummed up in this one rule' Love your neighbor asyourself. Love does no harm to it's neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law."-Holy BibleRomans 13"Look how he abused

me and beat me. How he threw medown and robbed me"Abandon such thoughts, and live in love.In this world, hate never yet dispelled hate. Onlylove dispells hate. This is the law, ancient andinexaustable. You too shall pass away. Knowing this, how can you quarrel?-The DhammapadaThere is obviously a very strong universal message;the word "law" which is precisely focused on love andcompassion towards ourselves and others. So beinguniversal, who is exempt from this? no one.To beautiful sum this all up, I found this;"For words of purity to touch you, they must bereceived in purity. These words come out of divinesimplicity. To liberate, they must be heard insimplicity. These words come from the soul; to feedthat in you which thirst, these words of wisdom, notknowledge must be heard by the soul, not theintellect. For that which feeds only for the intellectentraps, while that which

feeds the soul liberates. In your lifetime, you have read thousands of wordssuch as the words of the Christ, of Lao Tzu, of thePatriarchs,of Zen, of Rumi or Kabir, or Saint or , of and Abraham, of Mohammed, ofKrishna or the vedic Rishis...words that bespeak the secrets of the universe"-Ram DaasSo with this, we all are little colors of the samepicture and strands of the same rope. May we all graspor reinforce our personal interconnected version oftruth and aspire for the happiness of others. May wesee that our only enemy is within our own deludedmind. May we see that there is no color, no religion,no country or homeland. No personal origin. May we allrejoice in the beautiful grand oneness that we truelyare, and this being Christmas season, a perfect timeto start or renew. Amen.

Soha. With Compassion to All, Randy
