If they die inside you they are likely to breakdown and be absorbed into your intestines as well as come out in a digested form that would not be discernible as a worm. If the worm comes out whole it was likely alive as it travelled through the intestines and may have died just before it came out. Depending on what you are taking it may cause them to be weak and loose their grip on the intestines which then allows them to be expelled along with other food waste.Good point Tammy! But I guess I'm not fully convinced that they were worms. I'm thinking about taking it to my doctor or a lab to confirm. My husband thinks I'm nuts. Stupid question...does a parasite have to die to come out? If they come out, does it mean they are dead or have they been coming out all this time alive or dead and I never noticed?
