Guest guest
Something that happened with us with this was lack of soluable fiber. Beans are working wonders for us, plus LOTS of magnesium. Killing off tons of yeast will really back up the stool also. double edged sword really. jenib > > > PLEASE Help me to understand this! > > How can my 11 yo son still have YEAST? > > We started the SCD 9 months ago and we are following it very strictly! > > We have done the following treatments: > > Flagyl -- 9 months ago; 20 days > > Fluconazole -- following the Flagyl 9 months ago; 21 days > > Ketoconazole -- 7 months ago; 21 days > > Ketoconazole -- 3 months ago; 21 days > > Flagyl -- following the Ketoconazole 3 months ago; 20 days > > 3-day in hospital Bowel Clean-out due to severely impacted bowels -- 3 > weeks ago > > *** The bowel clean-out proves that our son has been severly constipated > for years, even though he was having large BMs every 3-4 days. Guest guest
You will never get rid of all the yeast. It is a natural part of our internal ecosystem. We just need to get it back into balance. It is very strong and does not need much food to multiply. What is your son eating right now? What probiotic foods and supplements is he taking? Maybe we can help you tweak things. Constiipation is not from meat per se but from imbalanced internal microbes. Even cultures who eat meat primarily do not have constipation when their systems are working properly. Mag citrate is good, but eating a ton more fat and lots of ferments is best. Guest guest
I used to feel this way too before I started. Eventually you realize it's almost impossible to do it wrong. The best one to start with is beet kvass. It's soooo easy. One bunch of beets tops removed Scrub gently - cut into 1 inch pieces (not too small) drop into a 1/2 gallon jar Add 1 TBS of sea salt Add 4 TBS of whey, or 4 TBS of ACV, or another 1 TBS of sea salt Fill with water Cover and leave on the counter or in the cupboard for 3 days. I invert mine every day to mix the salt in better and mix the bacteria around so that it doesn't grow anything funky Taste it on day 3 should be slightly salty NOT sweet. If it's still sweet ferment another day. Easy peazy and GREAT for the liver. My kids like an 8oz glass with 2 drops of stevia. (we do GAPS with low sweets because of candida) kathleen > > > > > > > > > PLEASE Help me to understand this! > > > > > > How can my 11 yo son still have YEAST? > > > > > > We started the SCD 9 months ago and we are following it very strictly! > > > > > > We have done the following treatments: > > > > > > Flagyl -- 9 months ago; 20 days > > > > > > Fluconazole -- following the Flagyl 9 months ago; 21 days > > > > > > Ketoconazole -- 7 months ago; 21 days > > > > > > Ketoconazole -- 3 months ago; 21 days > > > > > > Flagyl -- following the Ketoconazole 3 months ago; 20 days > > > > > > 3-day in hospital Bowel Clean-out due to severely impacted bowels -- 3 > > > weeks ago > > > > > > *** The bowel clean-out proves that our son has been severly constipated > > > for years, even though he was having large BMs every 3-4 days. Guest guest
No blending, you just drink the liquid. When you get down to the beets you can juice them. This adds probiotic to your juice. enjoy, Kathleen > > > > Kathleen, do you frement? I would love to, but I'm terrified I'll poison my > > family. I do the coconut kefir water, but that's as far as I've gotten... > > > > > > > > > > >  > > You will never get rid of all the yeast. Guest guest
Beets are high oxalate if that's a problem. Kraut is pretty easy to make or you can buy it from the HFS. Whole Foods has a great one called " Bubbies " in the fridge section. jenib > > > PLEASE Help me to understand this!
