Legally, you're protected under the federal Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which was passed in 1992 and amended in 1994. Any employer with 15 or more employees is prohibited from discriminating against qualified employees because of a disability. Cancer is considered a disability. " " If you feel that you're not making progress with your supervisor, you can call the Job Accommodations Network at 1-800-ADA-WORK.
