Guest guest
Hopefully Val will be back here soon. In the meantime, thought I'd share some things: I get edema if I take more t3 than my adrenals can handle. I think it's because there's not enough cortisol to get the t3 into the cells. I don't think you can hurt yourself at all by just taking some potassium supps and seeing if it helps the edema. However, do you think you're still on too much t3? Unless you're in the luteal phase of your cycle, those basals are too high. Mine are that high in my luteal phase, though. The diarhea can be too much t3 OR too little cortisol or both! Are you vomiting??? If so, you might really be low cortisol, especially with the diarhea going on. Do you feel ill? If you are very sick, you might want to go the ER and have them check your cortisol... > > Hi Val: > > I am doing better having dropped from 175mcg to 125mcg T3 and Im at about 9.5 weeks +/-. > > My pulse is in the 84-88 range down from the 110 range once I dropped the T3 lower. Guest guest
Thanks for your advice - seems like Val agrees with too much T3. I guess the saying more is more does not apply here !I do not feel sick with diarrhea, no vomiting just annoying and definitley not good for me. I thought Val had said potassium helped with diarrhea? As for high basals- technically yes in my luteal phase but.... My period never came.Anyway thank you so much for your response !Sent from my iPhone Hopefully Val will be back here soon. Guest guest
Thanks Val I will lower the T3. Would it also help to do 12.5 increments rather than 25mcg per dose?Is 100 mcg down from 125 mcg reasonable? Will potassium help my diarrhea? Can I try it or no- because no electrolyte panel?Thank you!!Sent from my iPhone I think you need ot lower the T3 even more, It sounds like it is beating your adrenalks to death. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/

Guest guest
Hi Bonnie! This is how my femural 'deep vein thrombosis' started out. Do you have any pain (foot, ankle or calf of this limb)? Thrombosis is nothing to take lightly as it is life threatening. Have you ever been told that you have 'very thick blood' or 'very sticky blood'? They are two different things, both related to being hypoT, but caused by different aspects of being hypoT and combined, or separately, can contribute to thrombosis. Do you have a family history of anyone having a thrombosis? If any of these are true, you need to contact your doctor ASAP, and get a venus dopplar ultrasound. .... > 1. Ankle Edema- oddly- seems top be in left ankle only. ....
Guest guest
Hi : My ankle history is sort of long- and I have flay feet- week ankles. I really did them in with too much activity while training for bodybuilding show- also killed my adrenals!!! Ankles stayed swollen and seemed like I would need surgery on that left one - even had a consult. Pains went away on cortef. Surgeons obviously have no idea about AF. Ankle edema on and off since 2006- first with the injury- then with AF, then with too much cortef and now again... perhaps too much T3 pooling... I have some level of thyroid resistance and am doing T3 only - it is weird to have just the LEFT ankle. It is the right one with all the crazy little spider veins.... No history of thrombosis. No pains - Never been told I have sticky or thick blood and I have had many blood draws. I will however keep a look out - and I appreciate the heads up! > ... > > 1.
