Guest guest
Hi Bonnie! If the swelling were both ankles, rather than only the left, I would be less inclined to be suspicious of thrombosis. Having had a friend, and an acquaintance, nearly die from thrombosis, one broke loose and went to her lungs, the other broke loose and went to her brain (she was found unconscious on her kitchen floor when she was a no show/no call for work), and my dad had thrombosis break loose and go to his lungs (he had no pain with his--both legs, which is unusual--and I couldn't convince Mom and my brother he needed to go to the hospital, that he had a thrombosis--he was terminal with a brain tumor). Dad's oldest brother and his sister have also had thrombosis. Doctors say I only survived mine because I was bedridden/wheel chair bound when it happened, and it progressed to almost a total blockage from my ankle to my pelvis before it was diagnosed, but fortunately, it didn't break loose. Needless to say, as a result, I am hyper-sensitive to anything that is even remotely suspect of a thrombosis. If you've never had one, there is a simple blood test that can spot it, even in the earliest stages. Best wishes and I really hope this isn't your problem and that it is only T3 related. > ... > > 1. I do think it is excess T3 but knowledge is power!Sent from my iPhone Hi Bonnie! If the swelling were both ankles, rather than only the left, I would be less inclined to be suspicious of thrombosis.
