One of the things I love about buffets is when they have a good selection of cut up fruit - watermelon, cantaloupe, pineapple, strawberries etc. I'd go for those over donuts any time! And its not because that is the 'healthy' choice, its because I do love fruit but its so overwhelming to buy a whole one of each just to have a bite of for a tasty mix. Some toothpicks can replace the need for plates and silverware too.
