Epiphany at last

I do understand your epiphany. Mine came when I realised that my dieting

was as much about punishing myself as my overeating was - and both were

punishment for something that was not my fault.

, I too have self-punishment mixed in there around diet issues but lots of

other history that impinge as well. It's impossible to sort out what all is

what though, and for me right now the emphasis is on how diet mentality has

impacted my weight.

And, even though a lot of my food issues revolve around Mom, she was a life-long

dieter too. But yeah, in the past though not so much recently as far as I can

tell, I've eaten at times with a " shut up you little brat " energy around eating.
