Guest guest
There are a couple of exemptions you can take you just have to make sure you take the right one : i.e. One for disabled taxpayer, one for disabled child over 13, etc. and deductions that can be taken due to diagnosis. SSent from my iPhone I believe you need to be on disability through SSI. > > Can we take the disability credit if we have a pdd diagnosis? or am I pushing my > luck? -tammy >
Guest guest
It was my understanding that medicaid waiver does waive income requirements in every state. We just got my son on this in NY. We would never be approved based on income. In NY there is no waiting list for this. There is a ton of paperwork and it took about 6 months to go through multiple rounds of approvals. With medicaid, we have a secondary insurance that covers copays on meds and labs, dr and hospital visits that are in network, all therapy services that we would have to pay for out of pocket, diapers, and respite (which is babysitting.)
