your RT3 is absolutely horrible. Your docotr is an idiot that knwos

NOTHING abotu RT3 but he is in alot fo company. MOST doctors do nto seem

to knwo about this. That si why I started self treating as it just seems

impossible ot find decent doctors thta understand all these issues. One

test oyu need that I do nto see her is Ferritin. Low ferritin seems ot

cause the very supressed TSH when thyrod levles are lwo still. Your

thyroi dlevels are VERY lwo as all that damned T4 is goign straight to

RT3, not the T3 oyu need. You need ot stop the T4 entirely and slowly

build the T3 dose HIGHER. But you shoudl get feriritn tested FIRST as T3

may cause worse symptooms if the ferritin si too low to suppoort it.

Hi ,The ferritin results were there - it was 32 on these labs, and only 8 a couple of months ago.How do I figure out dosing on T3 only? I can't seem to find the right info to figure it out. Where do I get the drugs?Yeah, I've felt awful for a long time. If I understand correctly, you're saying I should work right now on bringing up my ferritin before I start the T3 only treatment? I stopped my Synthroid/Erfa about three weeks ago and have only been taking T3 5 mcg about four times a day since then. It's amazing that I can already feel a marked improvement.

I'll up my iron supplements starting this morning. Do I wait on the T3, or do I go ahead and start taking low doses?

With the lack of knowledge that doctors seem to have, we'd all be disabled if it weren't for caring folks like you who help us out!

When the Ferritin was 32 were you supplementing right up to the day of

the test or had you stopped 5 days before the test??
